1952, ten years after starting as an economical association, the company then called 'Tibro Lastbilscentral', became an agent for ASG. That led to a considerable increase in volume for homebound trucks and eleven years later, in 1963, the company had expanded enough to afford the building of its first terminal covering 1000 m². In the following fifteen years the ties to the furniture industry grew ever tighter and in the early 1970s a departure list based on the Tibro industries production plan was introduced. The move of MIO to Tibro in 1976 and Tibro LBC taking over the industries distribution cars led to substantially increased volumes and our premises, today housing the Tibro electricity board, was abandoned in 1979 as we moved to our current location. The expansion continued during the boom time of the 80s with further development of our storage and logistic services focusing on the building of an international network for furniture distribution. Several European furniture distributors, two of them in Denmark and Holland, were acquired during 1989-90 to strengthen our international competence. |

The nineties started with a sale of the company to ASG and a subsequent namechange to LBC Sweden AB to meet the common european market. Our European competence were further reinforced by the start of a daughter company in Finland and even closer co-operation with our partners. Extensive changes, helped by the explosive development in information technology, have been carried out within our organisation, administration and logistics during the last five years of the nineties to further improve the quality of our services. In the 21st century we focus on increased integration with our network of partners and customers as well as contractors. |
